Polish Open Source Projects

Poland has more to offer in the open source world than you might think. I created a repository of Polish open source projects that shows how many valuable solutions are being created in our country.

Why Pay Attention to Polish Projects?

Polish developers create software that competes with global solutions. Projects like Sylius (e-commerce framework), Saleor (e-commerce backend), Qubes OS (security-focused operating system), and Open Intranet (a SharePoint alternative developed at Droptica) demonstrate the quality of Polish open source.

What's in the Repository?

The list covers projects across various categories:

  • Linux distributions: SparkyLinux, PLD Linux, Qubes OS
  • E-commerce: Sylius, Saleor
  • CRM/ERP: YetiForce, qcadoo MES, SoftCRM
  • CMS: Droopler CMS
  • Infrastructure: Ralph (CMDB from Allegro)
  • Communication: Open Intranet (SharePoint alternative)
  • AI/LLM: Pathway (ETL framework with LLM support)

Each project is actively maintained, free, and ready for use in business environments.

How Can You Help?

The repository is open to contributions. Know a Polish open source project that should be on the list? Open a pull request or issue.

Supporting Polish projects is a way to show that Poland is not just an outsourcing destination, but also a place where innovative solutions are born.
